Modern cross stitch pattern showcasing the iconic Souter Lighthouse in South Tyneside.  (NOTE this is a downloadable pattern and instructions ONLY, full kits available HERE)
 
For over a century Souter Lighthouses protected those braving the North Sea between South Shields and Sunderland, and since it's retirement it has become a much loved place to visit.
 
All colours suggested within the pattern are DMC (although it would be interesting to see other takes on the colourway!).  
 
Using 18 count aida the final picture measures 5x7inch, while using 14 count aida creates a final picture measuring 6.5x9inch.
